my world is now whole,

because of you

love lives in my soul,

because of you

i have laughter in my eyes,

because of you

i am no longer afraid of good-byes,

you are my pillar,

my stone of strength,

with me through all seasons,

and great times of length.

my love for you is pure,

boundless through space and time,

it grows stronger everyday,

with the knowledge that you'll always be mine,

at the altar i will joyously say "i do",

for i have it all now,

and it's all because of you.

last night before i went to bed,

thoughts of you filled my head.

i haven't cried this way in years,

but on my pillow last night fell 6 silent tears.

the first was for the smile,

i miss your tender lips i long to kiss.

the second for you angel face,

the thought of your sweet embrace.

the third came as no surprise,

as i thought of your beautiful eyes.

the fourth down my cheek came rolling,

instead of my pillow it's you i should be holding.

the fifth came for one reason alone,

i feel our love has truly grown.

i really miss you lots my dear,

there just fell the sixth silent tear.

it's hard growing  up without a dad,

all the times i'd think of you,

it would make me sad.

i never knew why you weren't in my life,

a lot of the times i'd blame it on your wife.

i hated watching all the other kids with their fathers,

and the dads loving their daughters.

the day i met you i was so scared,

tears just rolled down my face,

as you hugged me with so much grace.

i want so bad to be close to you,

there's so much tears,

only because we lost so many years.

i know you try and make it up to me,

i'm an adult now, should i let it be?

should i call you dad now

or by your first name?

after all, you are the one to blame.
